San Fransico pitcher, Jonathan Sanchez pitched a no-hitter against San Diego Padres.  The 26-year-old was the first pitcher for the Giants in 33 years to throw a no-hitter.  The only runner for the Padres to reach against him was because of an error caused by Juan Uribe on Giant’s third base.  Sanchez, who won for the first time since May 25, had a five-start winless stretch this season in which he went 0-4.

He says “They gave me a second chance. You see what happened tonight.”

Sanchez finished the game with 110 pitches, with 77 strikes.

After defeat to Brasil

After defeat to Brazil

U.S soccer team for the first time ever, makes it to the Confederations Cup Final.  We were pretty much “dominating” in the first half of the game with a score 2-0.  Then in the second-half, Brazil came back up to goals to tie up the score.  Then Brazil scored to take a 2-3 lead in the last few minutes of the game.

Soccer is really not much of MY kind of sport, but if you really take the time to watch it, these guys really have a lot of heart & pride into their game.
